We have an opportunity for individuals to work with one of our groups on Tuesday, December 16th at one of our soon-to-open greenspaces; Garver Park in Buffalo Bayou East.
Volunteer Assignment: Our volunteers will be working on our soon-to-open Garver Park in our East Sector. This space was left in a very natural state. We will be working on a few projects starting with mulching and doing some limb clearing in the dog park. We may also be cutting vines that are growing up into the trees along the path along the bank. Left in place, these vines will smother the trees weakening or killing them. We may pull some of the vines from the trees that were cut last week. Once they have died, it is easier to remove them.
Directions: North end of the 600 block of Lockwood Dr at Buffalo Bayou (south bank).
