This opportunity allows individuals or small household groups to work more independently, typically on smaller projects. When we have group volunteer events scheduled at the same time, you are welcome to join in. Our volunteers help us maintain the park and the environment through a variety of task which include removing invasive plants and weeds, providing protection and retaining moisture by spreading mulch, cleaning trails and trail lights, and maintaining wildflower and prairie areas, and other habitats and food sources for our native insects and wildlife.

| Inclement Weather Plan: Our projects are rain or shine. Anticipated weather conditions will be included in the project email sent out a day or two prior to the event. If dangerous weather conditions are forecasted for the area of the project the event may be cancelled. If a short period of bad weather might occur during our shift, and nearby shelter is available, we will pause the event until it has passed. |
