Our volunteers help us maintain the park and the environment through a variety of task which include removing invasive plants and weeds, providing protection and retaining moisture by spreading mulch, cleaning trails and trail lights, planting donated trees or vegetation in season, and maintaining wildflower and prairie area, and other habits and food sources for our native insects and wildlife.
We cover 4 1/2 miles of Buffalo Bayou from Shepherd Dr. to Austin St. (downtown) and several new spaces in Buffalo Bayou East. The closest parking and meeting location information will be sent in the project email once the project is assigned.
